Happiness

I think that most of my happiness, joy, fulfilment, pleasure what have you comes from my family, and most specifically my husband. I think that is how it is suppose to be. Today was a beautiful day, the kids came home from school, did a little homework, did a little cleaning and then we all went outside little boys rode bicycles, big boys played basketball, little girls chased neighborhood kitties and an occasional stray basketball. Then for Dad and big boys it was time to get ready for scouts. I can't begin to express the feelings in my heart for these normal, ordinary, beautiful, wonderful, perfect moments. It is on days like these that I can stand back and say "Yes, this is what life should be". It is on these days that I am happy to be alive, grateful for the hand that I have been given, and eager to get up and do it all again tomorrow.

Little Red Riding Hood

Once upon a time little red riding hood went on a picnic with her daddy...

"Oh Allie, what big ears you have" "The better to ignore you with daddy"

"Oh Allie, what big eyes you have" "The better to melt your heart and get me out of touble"
"Oh Allie, what big teeth you have" "The better to give you big slobery kisses" "RRRRRRRRRR"

Hmm, what have we here?

While mom and dad's backs are turned Alli finds herself a midnight snack.

Pajama party

As a reward for rooms clean, beds made, homework done and general good behavior Friday night is our family movie night. We set blankets all over the floor, the girls danced in the living room while Dad made a pineapple upsidedown cake and Brendan and Roman made the popcorn. Then we all settle in for our Friday night movie of "Journey to the Center of the Earth"...(Roman and Brendan are being rockets)
